Baby-care and the games we play with babies, stimulate their psychophysical development.
In the first 12 months of life, a baby grows and develops incredibly. every day there is a new achievement.
Because of this, it is essential that a newborn is offered games that not only entertain them, but which are able to make new discoveries and stimulate them both physically and sensitively.
Contrary to what is thought, there is no need for complicated and expensive items. On the contrary: industrial toys, mostly made of plastic, are not as stimulating as baby toys that you could make yourself at home. In fact, plastic is considered a material of little sensory value: it does not provide particular sensations either to touch or to taste, which are the senses most used by a baby just a few months old.
We use a series of games for babies that can be created with everyday materials and that are specifically designed to stimulate psychophysical development, and with which, we see how happy the children we care for are when we play together with them.
- Puppet sock
This type of game stimulates frontal vision - Mirror
With this activity you will stimulate their ability to follow their reflexes with their eyes and to recognize faces, as well as strengthen their neck muscles. - Colourful cardboard pinwheel
This activity will help improve depth perception and the ability to focus on objects. - Hide and seek games
This type of play helps babies understand the concept of permanence of objects, i.e., that they exist even if we do not see them. - Tactile book
This baby game not only stimulates the sense of touch, but also motor coordination. - Sensory bottles
We see the astonished look on your baby’s face when he sees the movement and colours inside the bottles, or when he rolls them on the floor. - A cardboard box
This homemade game couldn’t be simpler: all that is needed is a sturdy box, big enough to fit a baby. It’s a game for babies who can crawl, to stimulate their ability to move. Placed on a soft carpet and surrounded by interesting objects the children have fun climbing in and out!
We put these stimulating games for babies into practice, stimulating the child’s psychomotor skills.
