When we carry out Childcare, we like to do crafting with the kids.
We find this not only entertaining but also an excellent opportunity to stimulate children’s creativity and learning.
Here are some examples of this which we carry out with the little ones we care for:
- Repurpose Household Items:
To encourage eco-conscious crafting by collecting reusable objects like small baby food containers, empty toilet rolls, twist ties from bread bags, cardboard boxes, and old birthday cards. We use crafting tools like; glue, scissors, and sturdy card stock and we look for imaginational ideas from your children. - Create a Playful Volcano:
Construct a volcano using clay or playdough, offering a simple yet engaging project for children. After crafting the volcano, let them experiment with different shapes and forms. The malleable nature of playdough allows for endless artistic exploration. - Dive into Scrapbooking Adventures:
We introduce children to the world of scrapbooking, where they can preserve memories and express their creativity. Gather items from special events like birthday parties, such as confetti, cards, and balloons. We encourage the children to decorate scrapbook pages with these mementos, complemented by personal journal entries. - Craft Supply Box:
We create a craft supply box together with the children and fill it with materials like paper, markers, crayons, paints, glue, tape, and wooden sticks, which we encourage that they use themselves to be creative and to use them in a variety of crafting options. Crafting empowers children to unleash their artistic flair and imagination.
An important part of what we carry out here, is to admire the children’s creations and proudly display their artwork in your home, fostering a sense of accomplishment and creativity.
